It’s like carrying a cell phone or money in a kimono with pockets.
These pouches are hand woven on a loom from long strips of old scrap cloth.
The discolored lining, the torn silk and the dirty kimono are reborn for a new purpose.
They are handwoven by the visually impaired at the Kyoto Lighthouse.
The proceeds will help support Kyoto Lighthouse and its activities!
